Andrea "Andy" Hendricks. Female. 25-34 years old (30 in [community profile] genessia). American.
5'8" tall, [CLASSIFIED]. Human (Enhanced).

Born in a small town near Houston, Texas to a couple of veteran US Air Force pilots, Andrea wished to follow her parents' footsteps ever since she was young, promising herself to be a better pilot than them. Andrea had a rather mundane life. She was a cheerleader in high school and a cadet in Air Force ROTC in college, Andrea earned a pilot slot at the US Air Force where she flew for years and was assigned at the front in Alaska, as tensions once again grew between Russia and the United States. But occasionally serving a few tours outside of US airspace, Andrea and the Liberty Squadron always return to their home in Alaska. It's in this squadron where she gets the nickname "Coldstar" thanks to her Texan origin and assignment to Alaska. It was either that or "Pom-Poms" when they found out she was a cheerleader.

Andrea first tasted real battle during the first invasion of Earth by hostile alien forces. Easily overwhelmed by the technologically superior foes, Andrea was the sole survivor of her squadron and of the entire wing, and left her with an head injury that permanently affected her vision. After the alien threat was thwarted thanks to Earth's secret program of supersoldiers called the Archon Program, Andrea is wrecked with survivors guilt, loss, and despair at being robbed of her ability to ever fly again. Andrea grew bitter and directed her anger at the recently declassified Archon Program for stealing the spotlight and overshadowing the sacrifice of her wingmen during the invasion.

Desperate enough to fake her medical records so she could fly again, Andrea was unaware that she was being monitored by the US government ever since her survival and they took advantage of her falsification of records as a way to introduce her to a second shot at glory. A new experimental hybrid fighter jet dubbed Project Radiant Guardian, is being developed using reverse-engineered alien technology. With Andrea being the only one alive to have seen these alien fighters in action, she was able to help with the development process. But she cannot fly the planes themselves due to her injury, so she was left with little choice but go through the physical enhancement procedure of the Archon Program, which would heal the damage on her eyesight.

Putting her bitterness of the Program aside, Andrea accepts and became among the first pilots of space-travel capable fighter jets.

A country girl at heart, Andrea loves the enjoying the outdoors in her free time. She prefers the quiet life outside of the city, and enjoys outdoor activities such as camping, going on road trips, and growing her own vegetables in her backyard. She owns a dog and participates in recreational activities that gives her a tomboyish impression; such as shooting practice, knife throwing, tinkering with vehicles, fishing, hunting, and going to football and baseball games and bars for some hard drinks. But she is more than meets the eye, as she enjoys other activities like visiting the big city for some shopping and movies (she's fond of kung-fu movies in particular, but generally isn't picky), going to state and county fairs, as well as being a history buff evident in her love for visiting museums and interest in other cultures. She has a brazen attitude and a strong sense of humor, often making cheeky comments and is physically affectionate with her friends. Andrea can be a little sentimental and hold onto old belongings that she had emotional connections with still, like her favorite old toys or her old car. She has a habit of putting her feet up on desks and rocking on her chair, or singing her heart out while driving and showering. Aware of her country origins and mild Texan accent, Andrea often jokes about it. Mildly patriotic, Andrea doesn't show off her nationalistic pride in obvious and obnoxious ways, but shows care for her country by being active in political discussions and expressing her opinion whenever the country makes a decision she personally disagrees with. She stays current with recent events by keeping herself informed, and reminds her friends to keep up with their civic duties.

Apart from what's mentioned above, Andrea likes: outdoor grilling and dining, suntanning, boating, making bets, watching funny videos or documentaries online, peanut butter sandwiches, hamburgers, grilled cheese, bacon, tomatoes, beer, traveling, history, cute eyeglass frames and pillows, shorts/hot pants, zero-calorie soda, collecting (tote bags, nail polish, pins, and vintage beer and soda bottles), stained-glass art, antique restoration, music concerts, renaissance fairs, stetson hats, Halloween, spicy food, guns, knives, 4th of July (which is also her birthday), parades, military demonstrations, police procedural shows, pro-wrestling, stand-up comedy, and her pet sheltie Jimi.

On the other hand, she dislikes: mosquitoes, bigots, small cars, public transport, stuttering, snobs, deep underwater locations, bland tasting food, easily offended people, feeling useless, poor manners and hygiene, laziness, embarrassing relatives on social media, hostile aliens, harming civilians, tourist traps, and any reason not being able to fly.

HF-7 Archer - A hybrid fighter jet capable of anti-gravity flight and powered by a compact fusion reactor allowing it to travel to space and fly beyond hypersonic speeds without needing to stop and refuel, as well as later possessing a warp drive allowing it for short-distance interplanetary travel (i.e. within the Solar System). The Archer is made of reversed-engineered alien technology, copied from the wedge drones used by the alien invaders, and is named Archer thanks to its arrowhead shape. It's made of complex nanomaterial that allows the fighter to repair itself from minor damages should its deflector shields get breached, or use electricity to toughen its armor from physical damage. It's gravity defying capabilities make it supermaneuverable. It can hover in place, park itself on the side of buildings, take-off vertically, and fly at low altitudes. The Archer has a life-support system that doesn't require the pilot to have an oxygen mask or a g-suit (though it is still preferred to have a flight suit on for safety), and it is operated with combination of a neural connection for flying the craft and mechanical controls for the weapon systems, consisting of various particle beam cannons of varying strengths, and small funnel-shaped projectiles that could be used homing missiles against enemy fighters or bombing ground targets. The orb shaped cockpit provides the pilot with a panoramic degree view of the battlefield, shown through holographic projections. Prior to piloting an Archer, Andrea has experience piloting an F-15 Eagle and an F-22A Raptor.

Air-Force and Archon Training - Andrea is physically fit and has basic military training as well as survival training should she get grounded. She carries a sidearm with her at all times, and is known to be a good shot with directed-energy handguns (and SBRs) that fire ionized particles, making them lethal even against durable targets as they cause damage by disrupting the molecular bonds of a target. Andrea is adept in combatives and the use of combat knives (with a preference for her personal bowie knife, or tracker knife, or her Old West toothpick knife). Her combat infantry skills outside of her fighter jet is further improved upon joining the Archon Program, allowing her to keep up with her more ground-based comrades and participate in training patterned after traditional advanced infantry and special forces methods.

Archon Gen-2 Enhancements and Patriot-class Mark 3 War Skin - Her body and cognitive functions are further improved to superhuman levels thanks to the enhancements provided by the program, increasing her reflexes and making her perform physical feats far greater than the best Olympic-level athletes and can improve even further with age and exercise. Without her suit, Andrea feels herself capable of "outrunning a horse", and has outrun cars on the freeway at full sprint. She's strong enough able to lift and toss large boulders and cars overhead, and toss them a good distance without strain as her muscles and bones grew dense and nigh-unbreakable. Andrea claims she has gained "hyperawareness" from the enhancements, able to notice small details most people don't see and momentarily see things in slow motion and even gain a precognitive ability during battle as is standard in Archon-2s. All of this is multiplied further if she dons a War Skin nanotech armor, as each Archon is issued one to wield. The armor can open up to allow the pilot to step in and out immediately, and can be worn with regular clothing underneath (provided they aren't too bulky). The armor has a protective energy shield and a regenerative nanomachine repair system that can be worn down from constant attack, but can recharge once it stops taking hits. The suit has life-support that heals Andy's injuries and with a filtering systems that allows Andrea to survive outside of Earth. The armor comes with a combat assistant AI that can help analyze and predict outcomes of combat, lock-on targets and physically orient the armor so her weapon is facing the target. It also has integrated thrusters that allow greater mobility and flight. War Skins are incredibly resistant to EMP or hacking, and the suit is proven tough even against magical threats and protects Andrea's mind from psionic influences if her helmet is on.
